Cotton Daisy Backstep play Oldtime music from the Appalachian Mountains. With driving rhythms on Banjo, fiddle, guitar and double bass and soaring mountain vocals, they sing the old gospels, hillbilly farm ditties, old-time songs, ballads of the old country, and originals.
This music is 2-300 years older than bluegrass and its not the same - bluegrass developed in the cities in the 1950s - Oldtime has always been, and will always be - mountain music.
We play for concerts, barn dances, birthdays, weddings, and can make your event more exciting and community oriented with the addition of a dance caller.
